I finished reading The Lost Gate last night and I have to say that it’s not Orson Scott Card’s best work. I would even argue that it’s one of his weakest novels since Pastwatch: The Redemption of Christopher Columbus. I will go to my grave defending the horrible quality of Pastwatch, too — it’s just a terrible plot, and premise, and a chore to read.

Went to the Doctor's today
Nothing serious, just my physical stuff. I think I got signed up for a couple of shots, horrible shots with large, large needles, but I’m sure that’s for my follow up next month. One of them was for pertussis, because whooping cough is something apparently high on my doctor’s worry list. My doctor also put me on a really low dose of some sort of panic attack medicine.
